Arlon 35N Material — Polyimide laminate and prepreg
35N: polyimide laminate and prepreg. A polyimide option for high-temperature multilayer construction.
Manufacturer-listed material. Exact construction, availability and lead time require project-specific confirmation.
Where 35N fits in your design
Compare the approved cure route and finished-board thermal qualification with 33N before changing the drawing. Treat this as a process material within an approved stack. It cannot be specified as a finished PCB or substituted for a copper-clad core.
Material identification and technical reference
| Exact designation | 35N |
|---|---|
| Material role | Polyimide laminate and prepreg |
| Reference information | A polyimide option for high-temperature multilayer construction. |
| Supply status | Listed on manufacturer website; stock not confirmed |
Typical values are reference information, not acceptance limits. Match the test method, frequency, conditioning, thickness and document revision before comparing data. Missing figures are intentionally not estimated.
Fabrication review for 35N
- Identify the construction. Provide the drawing revision, exact grade, layer sequence, dielectric thicknesses and copper requirements. Mark whether substitutions are prohibited or require written approval.
- Review processing compatibility. Specify resin-flow limits, adjoining materials, openings and target bondline. The press cycle must suit all materials in the stack.
- Set measurable acceptance criteria. Identify impedance coupons, dimensional checks, electrical testing and cross-sections that are required for this project. Do not assume a catalogue material specification covers finished-board reliability.
What changes the cost?
A useful 35N quotation starts with quantity, panel use and the exact material construction. Special thicknesses, foil requirements, additional lamination cycles and project-specific inspection can change sourcing and processing costs. A generic multiplier against FR-4 cannot establish the price of your build. Use the design and cost planning tools to organize the requirements, then request a written project quotation.
Prepare your 35N inquiry
Upload your fabrication drawing, stack-up and Gerber or ODB++ package through our project inquiry form. Include board size, quantity, finish, delivery target and the exact material designation. If this is an existing design, attach the approved material specification and identify any substitution restrictions.
Questions about 35N
Can another grade replace 35N?
Only after design and procurement approval. Compare material role, electrical properties, expansion, bond system and the qualified process. A similar dielectric constant or product name is not sufficient evidence.
Is 35N available for immediate manufacture?
Availability depends on the required thickness, foil and order quantity. Send the exact requirement through the inquiry form for a sourcing review before committing to a schedule.
